**Speaker:** Peter C. Bouteneff, Kulik Professor of Sacred Arts, St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary (Yonkers, NY).

The term “sacred arts” brings together two words, each rich with a constellation of meanings. They evoke a range of interpretations—some descriptive, others contested across secular and religious contexts. Drawing on both scholarly and popular sources, as well as on extensive conversations with artists and academics from diverse traditions, Dr. Bouteneff will explore the divergences and convergences among these understandings, offering a framework to deepen our reflection on what Christian sacred arts can mean today.
