The Division of Arts & Humanities seeks to optimize both the ability of its faculty to pursue knowledge through the study of the arts and humanities and the opportunity of its students to share in that pursuit. This mission entails articulating anew the wonders and values of aesthetic and humanistic learning. It requires cultivation of a curious, intrepid, inclusive, engaged, and compassionate community of learners. And it demands insightful matching of faculty priorities and student needs. The Office of the Dean of Arts and Humanities is dedicated to supporting this mission through a creative and judicious administration of Divisional resources and activities.
