I sincerely believe that the humanistic disciplines serve to induct one in the rich, diverse and global inheritance of one’s respective intellectual tradition, as well as to force one to grapple with the fundamental question of what it means to be human - the beauty being in the ever-posed question rather than in any definitive answer.
